Music for a Video Game

The music in a video game is to help set the mood of the setting of a video game. You don't want to be playing a game being chased by a blood thirsty monster on your tail, and have a melody that is happy. That just throws off the entire setting, and I tired that after reading a few things about music and games. I just felt that was wrong and did not want to play that game again.

So the background music is important too?

Oh, yes it is. The background music is very important, just try what I did by muting the TV while playing a video game. Also while doing that have a stereo on playing some random music and see how that effects the mood of the video game that you are playing.

Ok, that was creepy. I swear never to play a game like that again. Another thing that I notice was the sceen didn't have any footsteps to it, but the moment the sound was restord they came back. Why was there no sound of footsteps?

That is the sound effects that are in the background. Were one can blow things up just to get the sound of the explosion. Though that might be a fun job to have.

There is a job for only the sound effects that are part of video games!? I though that sound effects were only done in movies?

Nope the sound effects are a big part of the video game industry today. This is becoming more so due to the video games becoming more and more life like, and thus, need to sound more life like too.

Okay that is a good point, but is this suppose to be about music?
